EarthMap (earthmap.live) is a live satellite map operated by DisasterDB. This page explains what the site collects and how advertising may use cookies.
What the site does
EarthMap shows geostationary satellite imagery (Sat) from NOAA GOES, EUMETSAT Meteosat, and GEO-KOMPSAT-2A. Meteosat imagery contains modified EUMETSAT data.
Information we collect
When you use the site we may collect:
- Cookie and similar-technology data, including whether you accepted or rejected the cookie banner
- Device and browser data, and your IP address
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- Pages you open, including country map pages, and how you use the map
- Measurement data through Google Analytics (GA4)
We use this to run the site, understand traffic, and remember your cookie choice. We do not ask you to create an account to view the map.
Advertising
We may show ads on EarthMap, including ads from Google.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the Internet.
